This was not a surprise. Our AC’s demise happened at noon in this non stop 33 degree Celsius weather in a Publix parking lot. That scary noise we were ignoring became a scary smell and we pulled the plug on her or should I say pulled the belt off.
Alas this type of event DRASTICALLY changes your trip. Driving is okish but sitting at a stop light is hot, that’s the only word there is for it HOT. Continue reading

We left the town of Hillsville really early 7:30 it was pretty chilly really only 11degrees Celsius, well that was going to change.

Saying good bye to Pittsburgh at the crack of rush hour traffic – ugh. We hit the road at 8am.
It was sunny and cool. Considering that the east coast just got hammered with rain and wind, we weren’t complaining.
West Virginia driving looks like this. It’s mountainous and lush with forests and blue skies. It reminds me of a beer commercial it’s so unbelievably scenic!
Tuesday was our first day on the road. It was pouring when we left but it was early and we crossed over the Queenston Lewiston bridge at 9:30 am. Heading south on I-90 our first pit stop found us at Grove City.
This past weekend was bitter sweet. It was the final clean up and the last hurrah at the Lake House. We worked hard, pulled together and tied up loose ends all with smiles on our faces. Cause that’s how we roll.
