Diamante, Italy
Diamante is all about art. This quaint town boasts traditional cobblestone streets framed with wall murals.
It only makes sense that the hotels here embrace this concept.
Hotel Ferretti does this very well.

As we descend the stairs from our room to the lobby you can’t help but feel the grandeur.
The wide marble stairs have a gentle rise that makes each step …comfortable?
Art adorns all the walls and is as diverse in content as it is style.
There is no theme.
Can’t believe we nailed this place at such an amazing rate. Go team!
Somethings missing…
People. There is zero guests here.
When we checked into this hotel we were the only 4 people here.
This is the reception desk wayyyy at the back of this picture.
It’s late October here in the Calabria area of Italy and we really shouldn’t be continuously surprised that no one is here, but we are.
The hotel is so scenic both inside and out. The gardens are flourishing.
The sea is right across the road.
The eclectic decor of the lobby and restaurant is completely engaging.
Hotel Ferretti in the summertime must be buzzing!
The lady at reception tells us this is their last open weekend for the season!
It’s crazy cause there’s still so much nice weather to be had and this place is spectacular.
Dear Canada…
Why are you so far away?
Make Canadians a deal! We could literally fill in all these hotel’s dead time if the offer was palatable enough.
The weather is awesome, the food scene is fantastic, SOLD‼️
Others (most) don’t see things the same way. It’s too far and you lose 2 days to travel and the time change etc.
Mmm what’s for breakfast?
There’s only 6 of us here, a couple stragglers came in last night, grand total guests = 6.
We’re mentally preparing to grab a coffee and have breakfast elsewhere.
It’s their last weekend open. This can’t be anything to write home about.
I was wrong.
Full on breakfast hot/cold buffet, omelette station.
I was wrong so I’m writing home about it.

Just gonna soak this in.
As you can tell, Hotel Ferretti did not suck.
