Somewhere Between Trapani and Erice, Sicily
There’s nothing that draws us in more than an abandoned hotel and this one was no exception.
But first we needed to repeat that incredible trunk lunch from yesterday .
This time we brought some treats for our new friends who were very happy to see us.

Quick bite to eat and off we went to explore this beautiful lady on the hill.

Is a cracker with cheese worth a photo?
Maybe it was the view.
Maybe it was just being here in Sicily.
Either way it hit the spot.
The view!

There was a cable car that went right to Hotel Ermione.

We took the path.

Time to check in.

Have a look around the lobby.
How about the room?
Pretty darn good I say. The layout made it so EVERY room got a stunning view.
Yup I was having some heart palpitations walking without the security of balcony walls to keep me from falling over.
Stevo was not.

A pool! Very nice.

Spacious bathrooms.

Great cell / internet service and plenty of parking.

If you needed MORE jaw dropping views you could head up here to the rooftop.

This hotel was probably a little too isolated to get the constant tourism interest needed to pay the bills.
Was probably quite stunning in it’s hey day.

Seemed to be visited regularly, I mean how can you NOT take a peek.

Now off we go in our fantasy van to a the magical town in the clouds – Erice.

Check out yesterday’s spot on this road trip here:
And here’s where we went to after Hotel Ermione
